Loop double-decker bus would help district
To the editor:
I read with interest the article about a proposed double-decker bus for the Loop area in U. City [“Bus stop,” March 3-16, 2010].
Tourists and conventioneers and people without cars, such as myself, need some way to get from Downtown to the Loop entertainment district. Now, we have to get off at the MetroLink station and either wait for the Delmar bus — which runs every 40 minutes on weekends — or walk to the Loop.
The walk from the MetroLink to the Loop is too far for people with small children or senior citizens, or in inclement weather.
I would frequent the Loop restaurants more often if there was some decent way to get there.
Please buy the double-decker bus; I would gladly pay to ride.
